At RISE we offer a variety of treatment techniques to help you become pain-free and address the underlying issues that created the problem. We don’t know what treatment techniques will work best until we know what the problem is. Once we have done an assessment, we will know what tissue is injured and why that tissue is injured so we can create a treatment plan to address the pain and fix the underlying issues that are causing the pain. Treatment techniques we may use are:
Commonly Helped Conditions

To effectively treat a golf or sports-related injury, we must first determine what is injured — and more importantly, how it became overloaded or damaged in the first place. At RISE, we combine a detailed injury history, movement assessment, and sport-specific analysis to identify the mobility restrictions, strength deficits, movement compensations, or training imbalances contributing to the problem. For golfers, this may also include a Golf Physical Assessment and swing analysis to better understand how the body and swing interact.
From there, we develop a comprehensive rehabilitation program tailored to the individual, their sport, and their goals. Treatment may include a patient-specific combination of soft tissue therapy, manual therapy, acupuncture/dry needling, electrical modalities, strengthening, mobility work, and motor control training to reduce pain, improve tissue healing, restore efficient movement, and help patients return confidently to sport and activity.

Our goal is to normalize nervous system activity, increase local blood flow, and improve the soft tissue bio-chemical environment.
Contemporary Medical Acupuncture is a precise peripheral nerve stimulation technique, in which fine solid needles (acupuncture needles) are inserted into anatomically defined neurofunctional sites, and stimulated manually or with electricity for the therapeutic purpose of modulating abnormal activity of the nervous system and/or the endocrine, exocrine and immune systems, in pain syndromes, functional problems, and any diseases in which these modulatory mechanisms are available. Neuromodulation occurs through neurological and neurohumoral mechanisms at multiple levels, namely: peripheral nerves, spinal cord, brain stem, brain and cerebellum. Image 1 Contemporary Medical Acupuncture is mechanism-based, not disease-based. Therapeutic goals and treatment targets are selected based on the identified neurological dysfunctions contributing to the clinical presentation of the symptoms.
